Hyperthyroidism tends to run in families, therefore it is usually hereditary, occurring most commonly in young women.

If not corrected with an accurate test like the Thyroflex, Hyperthyroid disease can go into overdrive, that is the overproduction of the thyroid hormones by the entire thyroid gland. This condition is known as Graves disease. Graves disease is caused by antibodies in the blood that turn on the thyroid and cause it to grow and secrete too much thyroid hormone.

This type of hyperthyroidism is characterised by one or more nodules or lumps on the thyroid that may gradually grow and increase their activity so that the total output of thyroid hormone into the blood is greater than normal. This condition is known as toxic nodular or multinodular goiter. Also, people may temporarily have symptoms of hyperthyroidism if they have a condition called thyroiditis. This condition is caused by a problem with the immune system or a viral infection that causes the gland to leak stored thyroid hormone. The same symptoms can also be caused by taking too much thyroid hormone in tablet form.

However, the Thyroflex indicates when to stop the titrating of thyroid hormones, resolving the dilemma for the doctor, of how much to give the patient. These last two forms of excess thyroid hormone are called thyrotoxicosis, since the thyroid is not overactive, but with the Thyroflex it can now be resolved.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″ offset=”vc_hidden-sm vc_hidden-xs”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][wyde_heading style=”5″ title=”Consequences of Hyperthyroidism”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]The key symptoms for hyperthyroidism are:

Fast heart rate (often more than 100 beats per minute)

Nervousness and/or irritability

Weight loss without dietary changes

Prominent, staring eyes (typical for Graves’ disease)

Muscle weakness, especially of the upper arms and thighs

Increased sweating

Frequent bowel movements

Lighter or less frequent menstrual periods

Trembling hands

Fine brittle hair

Smooth and thin skin

It is important that symptoms of hyperthyroidism are not left untreated as serious complications can occur. Untreated disease may lead to cardiac arrhythmia (an irregular rate of muscle contractions in the heart), increased blood pressure, stroke or heart failure. In addition, in women who have gone through the menopause, hyperthyroidism increases the risk for osteoporosis (loss of bone mass) and bone fractures.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][vc_column_text]Note: Nitek has developed more effective treatment protocols for Graves , that increases (doubles) the chance of medications working, rather than resorting to surgery (Partial Ablation).[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”150px”][/vc_column][vc_column overlap=”top” overlap_distance=”150px” width=”1/2″][vc_single_image alignment=”center” image=”14357″][vc_empty_space height=”100px”]
THYROID DISORDERS Are A Matter of Balancing the 'Core Hormones' With Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Using Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) and Reflex Assessment.
[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_style=”full-width” vertical_align=”middle” padding_size=”no-padding” background_mode=”color” background_color=”#e9f2f7″][vc_column overlap_index=”100″ width=”1/3″][vc_empty_space height=”95px”][vc_row_inner overlap=”right” overlap_distance=”100px”][vc_column_inner padding_size=”l-padding” background_color=”#ffffff” css=”.vc_custom_1472196200527{padding: 10% !important;}”][vc_empty_space height=”40px”][wyde_testimonials_slider show_pagination=”true” auto_play=”true”][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”95px”][/vc_column][vc_column overlap_index=”50″ padding_size=”no-padding” width=”2/3″ background_image=”13691″ bg_image_url=”http://thyroflex.itoutsource.com.my/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/DNO0152-2-850×567-150×150.jpg”][vc_empty_space height=”600px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_style=”full-width” padding_size=”no-padding”][vc_column text_style=”light” padding_size=”no-padding” width=”1/3″][wyde_banner subheading_tag=”h6″ banner_style=”2″ title=”EXPLORE ON OUR THYROFLEX E-LIBRARY” subheading=”Learn more about Thyroflex and Thyroid Disease Management at our Resource Knowledge Base to explore further on how it can help benefit you.
